Apple Cranberry Crumble!


This might be my favorite dessert on Thanksgiving! My mother in law has been making a version of this recipe for years and it is always a big hit at any holiday. It is easy and quick to make and is SO delicious! I absolutely love the flavor combination of apples and cranberries. Be sure to serve this yummy dessert with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!


Ingredients:

-3 to 4 large Granny Smith Apples

-1 cup fresh cranberries

-1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

-2 tablespoons granulated sugar

-1/4 teaspoon cinnamon sugar

Crumble:

-3 tablespoons salted butter (melted)

-1/3 cup quick rolled oats

-1/4 cup all purpose flour (or GF flour)

-1/4 cup dark brown sugar

-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Next Step:

-Preheat oven to 375 F and take out an 8x8 baking dish

-Wash, peel and slice the Granny Smith apples.

-Add the sliced apples, the cranberries, cinnamon, sugar, and cinnamon sugar to a large bowl. Using a spoon mix the ingredients.

-Pour the apple mixture into your baking dish. Set aside to make the crumble.

-Take out a small bowl and add in the melted butter, rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Using your hand mix until a good crumble forms.

-Sprinkle the crumble all over the apples.

-Bake for 35-40 minutes.

-Serve immediately with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!
