Focaccia Bread!

This homemade Focaccia Bread will have your house smelling amazing!!! Not to mention, it is absolutely delicious!! Don't be fooled by the jalapeños! This bread is not spicy... just full of flavor! I love to serve this bread on a cheese board with various cheeses, meats, and olive oils. I have recently discovered Saratoga Olive Oil and have become obsessed with all of their flavors and the quality of their oils. So good!!! This recipe is very easy to make and will have your guests going back for seconds!

Ingredients: -2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

-1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) -1 cup warm water -1/2 teaspoon honey -1/2 teaspoon sea salt

-1/2 cup Black Peppercorn Olive Oil~Click for my favorite!!~ -4 garlic cloves (chopped) -1/2 teaspoon ground pepper -1 heaping tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped) -1 heaping tablespoon fresh thyme (chopped)

-2 Jalapeños (Optional)

Next Step:

-In a medium size bowl add the yeast, water, and honey. Stir and set aside. -Chop up the rosemary, thyme, and garlic. Slice the jalapeños. -On the stovetop add the olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, pepper, salt and a handful of sliced jalapeños. Heat on low and stir for 3-4 minutes. (Make sure the garlic does not burn.) -Discard the jalepeno's. -Add 1/4 cup of the olive oil/herb mixture to the water/yeast mixture. Stir. -Add in the flour and stir until your dough starts to form. -Take out the dough and place it on a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for a few minutes and form into a ball. -Lightly oil a large bowl and put the dough in to rest/rise for 1 hour and 15 minutes. -Using an 8x8 baking dish, add 2 tablespoons of the olive oil/herb mixture to the bottom of the dish. Spread all around and up the sides of the dish. -Take out the dough and place it into the baking dish. Gently spread out the dough to form an even layer reaching the 4 corners of the dish. -Gently press down all over the dough using your finger tips to dimple the dough. -Then pour the remaining olive oil/herb mixture on top of the dough. -Cover and let the dough rest for 20-25 minutes. -Preheat the oven to 450 F.

-Add the sliced jalapeños on top. -Bake for 15-17 minutes. -Take out and let the dough rest for 10 minutes. (I like to sprinkle a little sea salt on top right when I take it out of the oven.)

-Slice, serve and ENJOY!!! *For more recipes, please visit my Instagram page @a.sprinkle.of.sweet
