All you will need is 25 minutes to get these delicious and flavorful chicken wings on your dinner table!! They are incredibly crisp with the most amazing Korean BBQ Sauce which only takes a few minutes to put together. I love to serve these wings at parties, BBQ's, happy hour, and of course to serve while watching the Super Bowl!! Double the recipe if you are serving a large party, I promise these will go quick!!
Ingredients:
-2 lbs chicken wings
-Avocado Spray
-1/4 ground black pepper
-1/4 salt
-1/4 garlic powder
Sauce:
-1/2 cup Fermented Chili Paste Concentrate ~Click HERE to order~
-1/4 cup soy sauce
-2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
-2 tablespoons water
-1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
-1 tablespoon sesame oil or hot sesame oil
-3 cloves of garlic (chopped)
-1 tablespoon of fresh ginger (grated)
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
-1 fresno chili (sliced)-optional
-Scallions (chopped)
-Sesame seeds
Next Step:
-Preheat your air fryer to 400 for 3 minutes and spray the bottom with avocado oil.
-In a large bowl add the chicken wings, spray them with avocado oil and sprinkle on the salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
-Mix the wings and add them to the air fryer. (Make sure that they are not touching.)
-Air fry the wings for 10 minutes.
-After 10 minutes flip and air fry again for another 10 minutes.
-While the chicken wings are cooking make the sauce.
-In a large bowl add the chili paste, soy sauce, sugar, water, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and Fresno chili slices. Heat on low and then simmer for 5-7 minutes. Be sure to stir every couple of minutes. You will see the sauce thicken and come together.
-When the wings are done and crispy pour them in a big bowl.
-Drizzle the Korean BBQ sauce all over the wings and toss to combine.
-Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped scallions on top.
-Serve immediately and ENJOY!!!
~If you don't have an air fryer follow these steps for crispy baked wings!~
-Preheat oven 450 F
-Put your wings in a baking dish and completely pat dry with a paper towel.
-Combine the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1/2 tsp of baking powder.
-Lightly spray avocado oil on the wings and then sprinkle the seasoning mix over your wings.
-Place the wings on a cooling rack (on top of a baking sheet- the air flow will help them crisp)
-Bake for 30 minutes.
-Then take out the wings and flip them. Put them back in the oven for 20-25 minutes until crispy.
-Then follow the above steps for the sauce.
