If you are looking for an easy and delicious weeknight meal, then try this amazing Chicken Teriyaki!! Weeknights are so busy for my family but I love to have a home cooked meal at the end of the day. This recipe takes 5 minutes to put together and the slow cooker will do all of the work! It is a family favorite!! I love to serve it over rice with a side of roasted broccoli.

Ingredients:

-1 1/2 - 2lbs chicken breast (cubed)

-1/2 cup soy sauce

-1/4 cup dark brown sugar

-1 tablespoon honey

-1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

-2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

-4 cloves of garlic (chopped)

-2 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)

-1/4 cup of water

-2 tablespoons corn starch

-1 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds (toasted)

-2 1/2 tablespoons scallions (sliced)

Next Step:

-Add the cubed chicken to the slow cooker.

-In a small bowl add the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Whisk to combine.

-Pour over the chicken, stir, and cover. Set the slow cooker on high for 3 1/2 hours or low for 6 hours.

-Take the chicken out and strain the teriyaki sauce.

-Add the strained sauce into a pot on the stove top. Simmer.

-Mix the cornstarch into 1/4 cup of water. Pour into the simmering sauce.

-Whisk continuously for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

-Pour the sauce over the chicken.

-Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallions on top.

-Serve over rice.

-ENJOY!
